This game is seriously so!! adorable!! I wasn't planning to play it until all of the routes were released, but I just couldn't resist. The art, characters, writing, and just everything was phenomenal! I had a ton of laughs and overall really enjoyed it! Now, I can't wait for the other routes (specifically Nico! I saw him and immediately declared that he would be mine!!)

1. Which character did you like best?: Nico...! He never failed to make me laugh when he was on screen. His comments may be a bit...offhanded, but for some reason, that's a part of his charm~ But I seriously loved all of the characters. They're all amazing!
2. Did you manage to unlock the post-credits scene?: Yes! It was too funny. I still find it funny that I got it first try. I just kept picking the money option because...capitalism I guess? :D
3. Your favorite scene/ moment in the game?: Every scene with Nico in it... Simping aside, I really liked the scene where Robin praised Maya a ton for coming up with the commercial idea. As well as the one where he came out from the meeting and said everyone liked the idea. It was too cute!!! I also really enjoyed all of the art scenes, so there's that. Special mention: The scene where Robin was gambling his heart away to get something that Maya would like...and Jun just sitting on the side trying to get him to stop and having to come up with an excuse-- it was too funny
4. Would you like to see more of any particular side character/ is there any other content you'd like us to add or improve on?: More Faye and Jun! (Faye makes me g-a-y. She's so beautiful...............) Also Miles. I hope to see him a lot in Nico's route. Seems like a funny guy. I think it would be funny to see him and Faye interact considering their oppositions when it comes to flat earth conferences haha
5. Anything else you'd like to ask or tell us!: Thank you for this cute and fluffy game! Take your time with the other routes <3 EDITED TO ADD SOME RANDOM AFTERTHOUGHTS - the bad endings made me sad :( they were too realistic!! I'm so glad I got the best ending on my first try because it would've hurt a lot to get one of the bad endings first! - friendship ending :))) I love Faye so much - Nico's "extra scene" has me curious now. I wonder if he made a dating profile to seriously look for love, or if he did it to mess with people. My initial thought was that it was to mess with people since he made sly comments to Faye, but seeing his profile makes it seem serious haha. I'm anticipating his route too much - Vivian's extra scene(s) were also nice to see. At first, I didn't know how much I'd like him, but he's really cute n just trying his best! I also like his dynamic with Maya so that's that. - Learning that Vivian and Robin are siblings honestly made my heart warm up. I wish to see interactions between the two. It's kind of sad that Vivian doesn't feel like he can open up to Robin though :') - Last but not least, I'm jumping the gun and calling that Miles is Vivian's roommate. After seeing what his personality was like, and the fact that he unironically went to a flat earth conference, I think it's possible. I might be wrong, but it's just a guess after all!

Thank you for taking the time to share all your insights with us- we're really glad that certain aspects of the game and story came through (the realistic aspect of it, and the focus that we wanted to put on friendships between the different cast members). We wish we had coworkers like Robin and friends like Faye and Miles too.... (we've also gotten comments about a possible Faye route, so hmm...but no promises there!) In any case, rest assured- she and the other side characters will be making appearances in the other routes as well! This won't be the last you see of them~ there WILL be more Miles Nico interactions bless your heart. Nico is a sly dog who would DEFINITELY catfish people for fun...or would he??? (the comedic value in Miles- a possible unironic flat earther- and literal archaeologist wannabe Vivian being roommates is really too good to ignore, isn't it?) It bothers me a bit that I couldn't scroll the mobile chats and when it scrolls really fast (and especially when I have to pick a reply), but this aside I think I like everything? MC juggling between geeking and real life is too relatable. Absolutely loving Nico and Altair, super looking forward to finished version! Good luck ☆

I read shibalist's comment (a few comments below) and absolutely agree with their first two points. Idk if it's just me, but I actually don't read the names shown above the speech box in VNs, since it's usually clear who speaks, so it threw me off a lot that I had to start checking after instinctively already reading the speech box itself. Maybe there's a middle ground solution, like putting a greyish filter on MC when she's not talking, or making her portrait smaller, or something like that. Just a thought, it would certainly help me!
Anyway, I'm suuuper interested in Vivian, so I'll definitely check out this game again later and hopefully get to play his route! And I love the art a lot!

Our intention was to show the MC's reactions to the other characters' dialogue (her face changes according to what they say), which is why we didn't choose to hide her face! However, we definitely do see where you're coming from and will look into solutions for future instalments- we're considering a function that allows players to hide/ show her reactions!

this is so cute and charming! aaaaa! genuinely heartwarming too! there's a lot of content, the art is wonderful and i love how it is written. thank you for all your hard work!
Good lord this game was so cute - the art direction, Coco stickers, backgrounds, and character expressions all sold this as a heartwarming and adorably lighthearted story. (AND THEIR GODDAMN ROOMS.) I also just really enjoyed all of the random conversations with friends and other LIs interspersed throughout the route; it felt really natural and fluffy.
There were some things I noticed about the UI that could be polished, though, and I wanted to list them in case you guys needed feedback for future versions!
Whenever dialogue shows up, MC's portrait will show up even if the speaker is someone else. This caused me confusion at the start of the game, when I didn't instinctively know what the MC's name was - so I kept getting the impression that the MC was speaking even when it was Robin or Faye, because her portrait appeared.
Whenever character expressions are changing on screen, the entire dialogue box will be cleared for .3 seconds before text/speaker pops in again. This can be distracting, especially when MC's portrait disappears and reappears each time the other character onscreen has an expression change.
The "Affection checker" box is great! But I notice that whenever I'm in the affection checker, right-clicking opens the save menu, and closing the save menu keeps me in the affection checker menu. I eventually got used to manually closing the affection checker, but it felt oddly obtuse to me, because I usually assume that right-clicking exits out of any menu I have open.
Good luck on future development of this game! I'd love to see where it goes with the other LIs, especially Nico (that brat).

MC's portrait is included in all dialogue so that the players can see her reactions to the other characters' lines (if you notice, her face changes based on what they say!) we understand that it may be a little confusing, but our aim was to get the interactions between her and the others to feel more natural and less one-sided.

I just want to say that this game is one of the most adorable thing I've read!! This is the first game I've downloaded from itch.io and I'm glad it was because aghhhh my heart strings.. or maybe it's because I just finished a good route haha

I'd love to see more of Faye! She's pretty funny, and calls the main character out a few times much to her (the mc's) dismay. On a side note, I didn't think it was very realistic for Vivian to take of his mascot head in front of the children or other people. Especially since the children might not know there's a person under there. Then again, maybe that's just me! :)

I cannot express how much I love the art for this game! I'm not an artist myself, but I just LOVE THIS ART!!!!!!! I especially love how Vivian looks when he takes the head off the mascot costume XD

As for the questions:
1. Which character did you like best? Robin for sure! I love the realistic feel to this game and I love having a significant other as a relatable friend as well. His awkwardness definitely made him very appealing and very cute to me lol. He would definitely be my type if he was real ahaha.
2. Did you manage to unlock the post-credits scene?
I feel very proud for accidentally getting this haha. I figured the affirmation choices had a trend to them and found a delightful surprise. The entire scene was hilarious, so props to the writing team for that! (and the sound team as well, love all the music and sound effects used!)
3. Your favourite scene/ moment in the game?
My favorite scene definitely the hug scene. Maya's ranting hit home really hard, since I also love writing and share the same struggles as her. Robin's response to it also warmed my heart, and it seemed like a bit of a comfort to me. I just really love Robin and his personality haha.
4. Would you like to see more of any particular side character/ is there any other content you'd like us to add or improve on?
Looking forward to the other routes! I would like to get to know them better, so maybe I can love them greatly as well. (Nico would definitely be my second favorite). This might be a bit much, but I would love more Robin content <3, but after the other two get their spotlights of course!

I managed to finish the game fully for the most part. Just something that made me confused. I noticed in the Extras Tab, there were achievements tabs for Nico and Vivian. I was wondering if these achievements were available in the current version of the game or if it's just placeholder text or so?

(I've had that extra scene with the tickets and delivery with Vivian and I was wondering if those were related to what you mean? And as for Nico, Faye did mention him slightly but I did not see any type of achievements from either of them, unless there are other scenes I missed? I even checked the walkthrough for some hints and couldn't find anything about it, so I'm a bit stumped haha.)
But alright, I'll just post the screenshot of the bug I found.
I could be mistaken but I believe Robin should say this line and not Maya? (considering his facial expression as well). And additionally, the history tab seems kind of rough to use, (I can't use my mouse scrolling wheel to navigate through it) and I feel the bar is too small to use. the game is amazing! although i have 1 critique ^^! you get the bad ending for rejecting robin's confession, and imo it should've been a friendship ending. when you reject his confession, i feel like the game is saying "you shouldn't have rejected him, you should've picked the other option". it kinda feels like i have to accept his confession, or we won't stay friends anymore. it feels like pitty love. its just my opinion tho :D

as for your comment regarding Robin's confession rejection ending, we decided to end it so because we think of Robin as someone who doesn't really open up to others very easily. he finds it pretty difficult to do so and being honest about certain things has led him to losing friends or being seen a different way in the past. he's also a guy who takes things really seriously, so even if Maya didn't mean her words as a rejection of him and their friendship, he's more prone to thinking that he messed up somehow. because of those elements of his personality, we felt like it'd be more in character for them to slowly drift apart not because of any mistake on anyone's part, but simply because these things are a bit hard for him to take in stride.
however with time who knows what may happen? maybe they reconnect at the office and become chill work friends again :-) we hope that explains the reasoning for the ending being the way it is- it's not really intended to be a "you HAVE to accept it or else", but more of what we saw as a realistic portrayal for how things just end up not going the way you want them to even though no one's at fault.
(as for the department store thing, it's not an error! it's just put there to frustrate people HAHAHHAHAHA. or as a little "HELLO! ARE YOU FOCUSING?" call lol.)

i havent played visual novels in a LONG while; i've mostly been playing interactive fiction (so no visuals basically) and the total of the effects really hit me like a truck. The UI (the POV label especially was super cute), the...microexpressions? with the sprites...man. so good. I MISSED IT!!
lastly...well this is unhelpful and i also hope you guys are not homophobic? i'm going to assume no since you pulled some sound effects from Ace Attorney and that game was gay as hell. anyway i thought Vivian was a woman at first because of the name...i would have been 1000% okay with that. that's all.

we're also really glad that you enjoyed your return (?) to the visual novel genre and that you liked the UI! our artist worked really hard drawing a frankly insane number of sprite variations so we love that you had fun with them.

This game was such a nice surprise! The writing is super charming and I love the art in this, particularly the attention to detail in backgrounds, and the super cute UI *^* There's just an overall good vibe to it and... It actually really got to me? The feelings of the MC in Robin's route about her writing hit me unexpectedly hard, mainly because I'm pretty much the same lol. So it just made me emotional and I felt for her so much oh my lord.
Anyway! Point is, I found the MC very relatable because of this, and the LIs were also pretty dang adorable (except Nico that little sh*t (lol I'm kidding)). As a connoisseur of both fictional blushy boys AND stoic men with soft depths (even though we didn't see much of that stoicism, but you know, the concept is there), I greatly enjoyed Robin's route. It was so cute. Made me all warm and fuzzy inside X)

I think that would be Robin. He's adorable and also very relatable (yes, I also relate to his insecurities, this game just went for my jugular for being so quirky lol). Honestly, I find the game very good in content as it is. Sure I would, I like me some long VNs, but it kind of works for this game, ya know? So other than the promised routes for Vivian and Nico, no, I'm perfectly satisfied.

I love this game! The art is so adorable, and I found myself chuckling at the dialogue and the zany characters - have to ask though, are you guys Singaporean?? There was a line of dialogue where someone said 'sorry no cure' and I swear that's such an singlish thing - anyway I loved it <3

This was so cute and fun! I want to comment on the bgs specifically because they were so pretty; I had to take my time to admire all the small details whenever a new one would come up. Robin’s room was my fave! And speaking of him, I loved him lol. He was adorable, funny, and sweet! The POV switch scenes were a real treat. Can definitely relate to his overthinking. If I had to choose my fave as of rn it would have to be Robin, but I have a feeling Vivian might steal his place when his route comes out lol. I admittedly have a thing for characters with noticeable eyebags hjhghjjh.
As for a side character I’m interested in seeing more of, it would probably be the blonde guy that Maya bumps into in the common route. Very mysterious lol. And nope, I didn’t unlock the scene :o I’ll go back and try later!

This is such a cute game! It really surprised me because I think I wasn't expecting dialogues so funny and full of warmth. They kind of make you wanna go out and look for friends like that? I couln't stop laughing while reading from Robin's POV. And the MC was sooo nice. Congratulations for the hard work and good luck with the rest of the project! !

Hello, I've just downloaded the game but for some reason, I can't open the game :'( I downloaded the PC version, and there are 2 folders: _MACOSX and heartalamode-1.3-pc. I opened the heartalamode.exe in both of those folders but nothing pops up :< Could you please help me with this? >.<
hey there, I’m sorry you’ve been having this issue! I don’t own a Windows computer so I have to borrow from someone to check it ^^; I just investigated it and what I did was to follow this directory: heartalamode-1.3-pc —> heartalamode-1.3-pc—> heartamode-1.1-pc (folder)—> heartalamode (Application) .
After you click on the Application, press Extract All and there should be a new folder(called heartalamode-1.3-pc once again) with a working application inside the 1.1 folder. I hope this helps, come back and ask again if not!

1. Which character did you like best?
Before I even started the game, I had already fallen in love with Robin, and he didn't disappoint. He's such a precious character that I can't help but want to tease him ^o^
Also, the scene where he first invited MC to the park (?) near the office - that made me think of killers trying to get rid of someone who just found out their identity, and when MC thought of the same thing, I was trying my best not to laugh lol.

hello it's been days since i finished my first playthrough and i haven't been able to stop thinking about this game ever since.....love that! as many before me said, this game is truly a gem. i may or may not be completely in love with the art?? (yes i am) and the writing speaks to me on a personal level (like 3 seconds into the game and i was like this is it. this is where i ws meant to be). i am already rambling and that's a shame because i at least wanted to formulate some coherent thoughts in order to show my appreciation. i think a thank you would be a great place to start. thank you for your hard work and your dedication, thank you for all the laughs and thank you for showing the subtle and meaningful things of everyday life through these characters. i loved them all (and i can't wait to see more of them in the other routes!!) but maya has a special place in my heart, i absolutely adore her. also loved the friendship dynamics (the gift buying scene.......please). i did NOT get the scene even though while i was reading i was wondering if something would happen if i made some specific choices (leaving it vague so i hope it's not spoilery??) so now i am finally going in and exploring all the options and endings (i got the best one the first time.......crying.) i hope i managed to make some sense on this tuesday night but either way. thank you so much.

I just finished my first playthrough of the Otome Jam edition! Initially I ended up on Nico's route (really look forward to when it is done btw) even though I really was aiming for Robin, so I quickly replayed to get on Robin's and I LOVED IT! I feel like his embarrassment over his Coco hobby was fairly realistic and he was just a fun character overall, plus I love (online) friends to lovers~ I got his best ending! The artwork was absolutely breath-taking, and the writing was witty and fun and ridiculous, just the kind of game that I love! Maya's daily affirmations always made me laugh or break a smile, they were so silly and I like how you could always choose a different one of choice (have no idea if they're just there or affect the routes somehow, but I like that they're there, pointless or not).
Another aspect I really loved was Maya! She felt like a character, and I like that. Rather than being a very bland or annoying MC, she was lovable and fun and even a little relatable! Her dialogue and narrative had me laughing just as much as everyone else's! You know you got a good game going on when everyone is a candidate for best character! I like how even the side and supporting characters were very interesting!
Overall, I just loved this game. Not only you could tell a lot of love went into this, but that the devs had FUN making it! And it really shows, and if you guys had fun, your audience will too! It was really a cute, sweet, and funny game and even helped me out of a terrible writer's block, 'cause sometimes a dev's gotta take a break and play some games before feeling like making them again haha, so I have to thank you for indirectly helping me with that! I rarely come across games like these often, that literally fit almost everything I love and want in a VN, and I can't wait for the other two routes and the surprises that await! I'll leave a final review as well as a game rating once the full game is out~

it's not the commercial scene, it's something else after that! as for how to get there, one of the affirmations may crop up a little more frequently than the others, so maybe something might happen if you choose it every day? I'M JUST SAYING, WHO REALLY KNOWS?
They're all so cute in their own ways! I prefer otome games where the MC has a preset personality and they seem rare these days, so Maya was a breath of fresh air. If I have to choose a love interest, it would be Vivian. I'm very excited to see more of him and play his route. It's impossible to say since only Robin's route is available right now, but I have a distinct feeling that my preference is going to go: 1. Vivian 2. Nico 3. Robin. With that said, Robin's route was adorable and comforting and very cute.
2. Which was your favourite ending?
I only played through once and got Robin's best ending. I'm gonna go back and try to get the bad and friendship endings, but for now I can't really answer this question.
3. Did you manage to unlock the post-credits scene?
I did not. I don't think? Did I? Wait, was it the scene where Robin and Maya watch the commercial and decide to make a big ~move~? I can't remember if that was before or after the credits... I might have to go play again now. Edit: OH hAHaAHA I just went back and replayed to see what the extra scene was, but I randomly decided to do one thing differently this time and I got the post credit scene. It's adorable and I love it.

This was very cute, and I especially loved the art, UI, and the humor in the writing. It's such a cozy game and I want to play more.
Some random thoughts about the game in no particular order or clarity (**MINOR SPOILERS BELOW**)
-I love games where the MC has a best friend that isn't romanceable. Faye was wonderful. MORE FAYE.
-It's kind of funny to me (and a bit strange, maybe?) that Miles has a sprite/description on the itch game page but Jun doesn't? Maybe Miles is going to feature more prominently in future routes (probably Nico's), but he was only in one quick scene in the route I played--whereas Jun had about as much "screen time" as Faye? I'm looking forward to seeing how Miles earned a featured spot haha
- WHO IS ALTAIR?? WHATEVER HAPPENED WITH THAT?? INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW
- I honestly half expected Vivian's roommate to be Robin lol

This game is seriously so!! adorable!! I wasn't planning to play it until all of the routes were released, but I just couldn't resist. The art, characters, writing, and just everything was phenomenal! I had a ton of laughs and overall really enjoyed it! Now, I can't wait for the other routes (specifically Nico! I saw him and immediately declared that he would be mine!!)

1. Which character did you like best?: Nico...! He never failed to make me laugh when he was on screen. His comments may be a bit...offhanded, but for some reason, that's a part of his charm~
But I seriously loved all of the characters. They're all amazing!
2. Did you manage to unlock the post-credits scene?: Yes! It was too funny. I still find it funny that I got it first try. I just kept picking the money option because...capitalism I guess? :D
3. Your favorite scene/ moment in the game?: Every scene with Nico in it...
Simping aside, I really liked the scene where Robin praised Maya a ton for coming up with the commercial idea. As well as the one where he came out from the meeting and said everyone liked the idea. It was too cute!!! I also really enjoyed all of the art scenes, so there's that.
Special mention: The scene where Robin was gambling his heart away to get something that Maya would like...and Jun just sitting on the side trying to get him to stop and having to come up with an excuse-- it was too funny

- the bad endings made me sad :( they were too realistic!! I'm so glad I got the best ending on my first try because it would've hurt a lot to get one of the bad endings first!
- friendship ending :))) I love Faye so much
- Nico's "extra scene" has me curious now. I wonder if he made a dating profile to seriously look for love, or if he did it to mess with people. My initial thought was that it was to mess with people since he made sly comments to Faye, but seeing his profile makes it seem serious haha. I'm anticipating his route too much
- Vivian's extra scene(s) were also nice to see. At first, I didn't know how much I'd like him, but he's really cute n just trying his best! I also like his dynamic with Maya so that's that.
- Learning that Vivian and Robin are siblings honestly made my heart warm up. I wish to see interactions between the two. It's kind of sad that Vivian doesn't feel like he can open up to Robin though :')
- Last but not least, I'm jumping the gun and calling that Miles is Vivian's roommate. After seeing what his personality was like, and the fact that he unironically went to a flat earth conference, I think it's possible. I might be wrong, but it's just a guess after all!

We wish we had coworkers like Robin and friends like Faye and Miles too.... (we've also gotten comments about a possible Faye route, so hmm...but no promises there!) In any case, rest assured- she and the other side characters will be making appearances in the other routes as well! This won't be the last you see of them~ there WILL be more Miles Nico interactions bless your heart. Nico is a sly dog who would DEFINITELY catfish people for fun...or would he??? As you say, it's all part of his charm ;) he really is an acquired taste lol.
Also regarding your roommate predictions: guess you'll have to stay tuned to find out! (the comedic value in Miles- a possible unironic flat earther- and literal archaeologist wannabe Vivian being roommates is really too good to ignore, isn't it?) In all seriousness, we're really happy you enjoyed the game and we'll do our best to bring you the rest of it as soon as we can!

It bothers me a bit that I couldn't scroll the mobile chats and when it scrolls really fast (and especially when I have to pick a reply), but this aside I think I like everything? MC juggling between geeking and real life is too relatable. Absolutely loving Nico and Altair, super looking forward to finished version! Good luck ☆

I read shibalist's comment (a few comments below) and absolutely agree with their first two points. Idk if it's just me, but I actually don't read the names shown above the speech box in VNs, since it's usually clear who speaks, so it threw me off a lot that I had to start checking after instinctively already reading the speech box itself. Maybe there's a middle ground solution, like putting a greyish filter on MC when she's not talking, or making her portrait smaller, or something like that. Just a thought, it would certainly help me!
Anyway, I'm suuuper interested in Vivian, so I'll definitely check out this game again later and hopefully get to play his route! And I love the art a lot!

Our intention was to show the MC's reactions to the other characters' dialogue (her face changes according to what they say), which is why we didn't choose to hide her face! However, we definitely do see where you're coming from and will look into solutions for future instalments- we're considering a function that allows players to hide/ show her reactions!

Good lord this game was so cute - the art direction, Coco stickers, backgrounds, and character expressions all sold this as a heartwarming and adorably lighthearted story. (AND THEIR GODDAMN ROOMS.) I also just really enjoyed all of the random conversations with friends and other LIs interspersed throughout the route; it felt really natural and fluffy.
There were some things I noticed about the UI that could be polished, though, and I wanted to list them in case you guys needed feedback for future versions!
Good luck on future development of this game! I'd love to see where it goes with the other LIs, especially Nico (that brat).

MC's portrait is included in all dialogue so that the players can see her reactions to the other characters' lines (if you notice, her face changes based on what they say!) we understand that it may be a little confusing, but our aim was to get the interactions between her and the others to feel more natural and less one-sided.

On a side note, I didn't think it was very realistic for Vivian to take of his mascot head in front of the children or other people. Especially since the children might not know there's a person under there. Then again, maybe that's just me! :)

I cannot express how much I love the art for this game! I'm not an artist myself, but I just LOVE THIS ART!!!!!!! I especially love how Vivian looks when he takes the head off the mascot costume XD

1. Which character did you like best?
Robin for sure! I love the realistic feel to this game and I love having a significant other as a relatable friend as well. His awkwardness definitely made him very appealing and very cute to me lol. He would definitely be my type if he was real ahaha.
2. Did you manage to unlock the post-credits scene?
I feel very proud for accidentally getting this haha. I figured the affirmation choices had a trend to them and found a delightful surprise. The entire scene was hilarious, so props to the writing team for that! (and the sound team as well, love all the music and sound effects used!)
3. Your favourite scene/ moment in the game?
My favorite scene definitely the hug scene. Maya's ranting hit home really hard, since I also love writing and share the same struggles as her. Robin's response to it also warmed my heart, and it seemed like a bit of a comfort to me. I just really love Robin and his personality haha.
4. Would you like to see more of any particular side character/ is there any other content you'd like us to add or improve on?
Looking forward to the other routes! I would like to get to know them better, so maybe I can love them greatly as well. (Nico would definitely be my second favorite). This might be a bit much, but I would love more Robin content <3, but after the other two get their spotlights of course!

I managed to finish the game fully for the most part. Just something that made me confused. I noticed in the Extras Tab, there were achievements tabs for Nico and Vivian. I was wondering if these achievements were available in the current version of the game or if it's just placeholder text or so?

(I've had that extra scene with the tickets and delivery with Vivian and I was wondering if those were related to what you mean? And as for Nico, Faye did mention him slightly but I did not see any type of achievements from either of them, unless there are other scenes I missed? I even checked the walkthrough for some hints and couldn't find anything about it, so I'm a bit stumped haha.)
But alright, I'll just post the screenshot of the bug I found.
I could be mistaken but I believe Robin should say this line and not Maya? (considering his facial expression as well). And additionally, the history tab seems kind of rough to use, (I can't use my mouse scrolling wheel to navigate through it) and I feel the bar is too small to use. the game is amazing! although i have 1 critique ^^! you get the bad ending for rejecting robin's confession, and imo it should've been a friendship ending. when you reject his confession, i feel like the game is saying "you shouldn't have rejected him, you should've picked the other option". it kinda feels like i have to accept his confession, or we won't stay friends anymore. it feels like pitty love. its just my opinion tho :D

as for your comment regarding Robin's confession rejection ending, we decided to end it so because we think of Robin as someone who doesn't really open up to others very easily. he finds it pretty difficult to do so and being honest about certain things has led him to losing friends or being seen a different way in the past. he's also a guy who takes things really seriously, so even if Maya didn't mean her words as a rejection of him and their friendship, he's more prone to thinking that he messed up somehow. because of those elements of his personality, we felt like it'd be more in character for them to slowly drift apart not because of any mistake on anyone's part, but simply because these things are a bit hard for him to take in stride.
however with time who knows what may happen? maybe they reconnect at the office and become chill work friends again :-) we hope that explains the reasoning for the ending being the way it is- it's not really intended to be a "you HAVE to accept it or else", but more of what we saw as a realistic portrayal for how things just end up not going the way you want them to even though no one's at fault.
(as for the department store thing, it's not an error! it's just put there to frustrate people HAHAHHAHAHA. or as a little "HELLO! ARE YOU FOCUSING?" call lol.)

lastly...well this is unhelpful and i also hope you guys are not homophobic? i'm going to assume no since you pulled some sound effects from Ace Attorney and that game was gay as hell. anyway i thought Vivian was a woman at first because of the name...i would have been 1000% okay with that. that's all.

This game was such a nice surprise! The writing is super charming and I love the art in this, particularly the attention to detail in backgrounds, and the super cute UI *^* There's just an overall good vibe to it and... It actually really got to me? The feelings of the MC in Robin's route about her writing hit me unexpectedly hard, mainly because I'm pretty much the same lol. So it just made me emotional and I felt for her so much oh my lord.
Anyway! Point is, I found the MC very relatable because of this, and the LIs were also pretty dang adorable (except Nico that little sh*t (lol I'm kidding)). As a connoisseur of both fictional blushy boys AND stoic men with soft depths (even though we didn't see much of that stoicism, but you know, the concept is there), I greatly enjoyed Robin's route. It was so cute. Made me all warm and fuzzy inside X)

I think that would be Robin. He's adorable and also very relatable (yes, I also relate to his insecurities, this game just went for my jugular for being so quirky lol). But something tells me I'm going to really like Vivian too, once his route is out. He's a cutie. The MC is also very good, as per my previous rambling, love her so much.

Honestly, I find the game very good in content as it is. Not like "don't you dare release more routes" because PLEASE DO, but as in, the length for example was short and sweet and the pacing felt good to me. Would I like more content for the guys? Sure I would, I like me some long VNs, but it kind of works for this game, ya know? So other than the promised routes for Vivian and Nico, no, I'm perfectly satisfied.

This was so cute and fun! I want to comment on the bgs specifically because they were so pretty; I had to take my time to admire all the small details whenever a new one would come up. Robin’s room was my fave! And speaking of him, I loved him lol. He was adorable, funny, and sweet! The POV switch scenes were a real treat. Can definitely relate to his overthinking. If I had to choose my fave as of rn it would have to be Robin, but I have a feeling Vivian might steal his place when his route comes out lol. I admittedly have a thing for characters with noticeable eyebags hjhghjjh.
As for a side character I’m interested in seeing more of, it would probably be the blonde guy that Maya bumps into in the common route. Very mysterious lol. And nope, I didn’t unlock the scene :o I’ll go back and try later!

Hello, I've just downloaded the game but for some reason, I can't open the game :'( I downloaded the PC version, and there are 2 folders: _MACOSX and heartalamode-1.3-pc. I opened the heartalamode.exe in both of those folders but nothing pops up :< Could you please help me with this? >.<
hey there, I’m sorry you’ve been having this issue! I don’t own a Windows computer so I have to borrow from someone to check it ^^; I just investigated it and what I did was to follow this directory: heartalamode-1.3-pc —> heartalamode-1.3-pc—> heartamode-1.1-pc (folder)—> heartalamode (Application) .
After you click on the Application, press Extract All and there should be a new folder(called heartalamode-1.3-pc once again) with a working application inside the 1.1 folder. I hope this helps, come back and ask again if not!

Before I even started the game, I had already fallen in love with Robin, and he didn't disappoint. He's such a precious character that I can't help but want to tease him ^o^
Also, the scene where he first invited MC to the park (?) near the office - that made me think of killers trying to get rid of someone who just found out their identity, and when MC thought of the same thing, I was trying my best not to laugh lol.
2. Did you manage to unlock the post-credits scene?
Yes, the scene with the ($), heheheheh that was so funny XD I love it!
Oh wait, also, I think the way to unlock Robin Friendship End 1 wasn't included in the walkthrough PDF? I got Robin Friendship End 2 but didn't get RFE 1 :-?

hello it's been days since i finished my first playthrough and i haven't been able to stop thinking about this game ever since.....love that! as many before me said, this game is truly a gem. i may or may not be completely in love with the art?? (yes i am) and the writing speaks to me on a personal level (like 3 seconds into the game and i was like this is it. this is where i ws meant to be). i am already rambling and that's a shame because i at least wanted to formulate some coherent thoughts in order to show my appreciation. i think a thank you would be a great place to start. thank you for your hard work and your dedication, thank you for all the laughs and thank you for showing the subtle and meaningful things of everyday life through these characters. i loved them all (and i can't wait to see more of them in the other routes!!) but maya has a special place in my heart, i absolutely adore her. also loved the friendship dynamics (the gift buying scene.......please). i did NOT get the scene even though while i was reading i was wondering if something would happen if i made some specific choices (leaving it vague so i hope it's not spoilery??) so now i am finally going in and exploring all the options and endings (i got the best one the first time.......crying.) i hope i managed to make some sense on this tuesday night but either way. thank you so much.

I just finished my first playthrough of the Otome Jam edition! Initially I ended up on Nico's route (really look forward to when it is done btw) even though I really was aiming for Robin, so I quickly replayed to get on Robin's and I LOVED IT! I feel like his embarrassment over his Coco hobby was fairly realistic and he was just a fun character overall, plus I love (online) friends to lovers~ I got his best ending! The artwork was absolutely breath-taking, and the writing was witty and fun and ridiculous, just the kind of game that I love! Maya's daily affirmations always made me laugh or break a smile, they were so silly and I like how you could always choose a different one of choice (have no idea if they're just there or affect the routes somehow, but I like that they're there, pointless or not).
Another aspect I really loved was Maya! She felt like a character, and I like that. Rather than being a very bland or annoying MC, she was lovable and fun and even a little relatable! Her dialogue and narrative had me laughing just as much as everyone else's! You know you got a good game going on when everyone is a candidate for best character! I like how even the side and supporting characters were very interesting!
Overall, I just loved this game. Not only you could tell a lot of love went into this, but that the devs had FUN making it! And it really shows, and if you guys had fun, your audience will too! It was really a cute, sweet, and funny game and even helped me out of a terrible writer's block, 'cause sometimes a dev's gotta take a break and play some games before feeling like making them again haha, so I have to thank you for indirectly helping me with that! I rarely come across games like these often, that literally fit almost everything I love and want in a VN, and I can't wait for the other two routes and the surprises that await! I'll leave a final review as well as a game rating once the full game is out~

Super cute and fun game! Incredibly relatable characters and a great sense of comedy throughout, while still nailing the more serious emotional moments.

I liked how we saw a fair amount of Jun and Faye in Robin’s route, so I hope there’s also a decent amount of side character rep in the other routes as well once they’re done. :D

1. Which character did you like best?
They're all so cute in their own ways! I prefer otome games where the MC has a preset personality and they seem rare these days, so Maya was a breath of fresh air. If I have to choose a love interest, it would be Vivian. I'm very excited to see more of him and play his route. It's impossible to say since only Robin's route is available right now, but I have a distinct feeling that my preference is going to go: 1. Vivian 2. Nico 3. Robin. With that said, Robin's route was adorable and comforting and very cute.
2. Which was your favourite ending?
I only played through once and got Robin's best ending. I'm gonna go back and try to get the bad and friendship endings, but for now I can't really answer this question.
3. Did you manage to unlock the post-credits scene?
I did not. I don't think? Did I? Wait, was it the scene where Robin and Maya watch the commercial and decide to make a big ~move~? I can't remember if that was before or after the credits... I might have to go play again now. Edit: OH hAHaAHA I just went back and replayed to see what the extra scene was, but I randomly decided to do one thing differently this time and I got the post credit scene. It's adorable and I love it.

Are people in the Coco fandom called Coconuts?
This was very cute, and I especially loved the art, UI, and the humor in the writing. It's such a cozy game and I want to play more.
Some random thoughts about the game in no particular order or clarity (**MINOR SPOILERS BELOW**)
-I love games where the MC has a best friend that isn't romanceable. Faye was wonderful. MORE FAYE.
-It's kind of funny to me (and a bit strange, maybe?) that Miles has a sprite/description on the itch game page but Jun doesn't? Maybe Miles is going to feature more prominently in future routes (probably Nico's), but he was only in one quick scene in the route I played--whereas Jun had about as much "screen time" as Faye? I'm looking forward to seeing how Miles earned a featured spot haha
- WHO IS ALTAIR?? WHATEVER HAPPENED WITH THAT?? INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW
- I honestly half expected Vivian's roommate to be Robin lol

This was sooo cute <3 MC's room looks like my phone screensaver xD And I love her design :3 All the outfit changes and choices for affirmations were adorable.
It was strange for me to see 'Coco' everywhere cos that's what my mum calls me, haha. If I had to pick a VN world to live in though, this would be a pretty adorable one!

I love everything this game has to offer like the MC's funny personality and expressions, the humor in this game and the art (the CGs make me froth at the mouth, in a good way ofc).
